1. Current Status

It is apparent that the Partnership Project Agreement will be updated annually based on BAI assessment & evaluation of the accurate achievement reports presented to BAI by the coordinator of the partnership project inside the project partner country.

Based upon our good performance achievement of 2020/2021 pertinent to the partnership project again BAI has shown an interest to work together in partnership, accordingly, renewal of the partnership agreement for 2022/2023 has been signed between BAI and HU.

Accordingly, in 2022 Book Aid International donated a total of the estimated price of 2.9 million ETB brand new books to be distributed via the BAI-HU Partnership Project within the Sidama National Regional State.

2. Future Plans

From 2022 onwards, in accordance with the Book Aid International 2025 vision and mission, the main focus of the BAI-HU partnership project will be to extend the scope of its support & operation specifically to primary and secondary school, public, community, college, and prison libraries situated beyond Hawassa University because it’s about to reach out to the wider community in the Sidama National Regional State of Ethiopia.

In particular, the BAI-HU Partnership Project welcomes to encourage, support, and work closely with initiatives and efforts to establish and operate local community libraries in rural areas of Sidama National Regional State.
