Celebrating International Day of Education with Books For Africa & Book Aid International -24 January 2023

Today is the 5th annual International Day of Education as observed by the United Nations! The UN asserts that education is a human right.

Through equitable access to information, Libraries support inclusive quality education & promote lifelong learning.

Supporting Libraries [Schools, Colleges, Universities, Public libraries, etc.] in the Sidama National Regional State, Ethiopia and communities has been one of our core focus via Partnership Projects.

In achieving this mandate we have partnered with two international Books donor organizations to libraries: Book Aid International and Books For Africa.

We appreciate your partnership and look forward to creating a more positive change via your partnership support to libraries together in 2023.

A quality education is one of the #GlobalGoals and key for achieving a better future for all.

“Books For Africa is a simple idea, but its impact is transformative. For us, literacy is quite simply the bridge from misery to hope.”— Kofi Annan, former U.N. Secretary-General
