How to Secure Grants/Funds for Your Research Project: Part IV: Using Your Grant for a Sustainable Project

With the long process of submitting a grant proposal out of the way, researchers who have had their proposal accepted will be able to go about making their goals become reality by kicking off their project’s operations. Usually, the project starts with help from the funder, which includes support pertaining to HR, finance, IT, marketing, and legal situations. However, after that grace period, a project needs to move to a more sustainable, long-term arrangement. Often, the project leaders will make sure that things run smoothly, so it is paramount that the right project leaders are chosen. Faculty and staff appointments, who often have other obligations, are expected to work on growing and developing the project, publishing about it, presenting it at various meetings, and ensuring that enough community support is received (Skinner & Drummond, 2022).

1984 Author George Orwell: A Documentary About His Life and Legacy.

George Orwell (1903 – 1950) A Life in Pictures is a docudrama about the life story of the British author, novelist, essayist, and journalist. George Orwell: A Life in Pictures is a 2003 BBC Television docudrama telling the life story of the British author George Orwell. Chris Langham plays the part of Orwell. No surviving sound recordings or videos of the real George Orwell have been found.

This documentary is important because his insights into human society are relevant to current world political affairs. He was a man of strong opinions who wrote about major topics related to the political views and historical movements of the 20th century. His views are still very relevant to our times, the first quarter of the 21st century and it is also a warning.

His best-known novels are “Animal Farm” and “Nineteen Eighty-Four”. Both novels have been turned into films and have enjoyed immense popularity. Orwell’s work had a great impact on popular and political culture. Many of his neologisms entered the language together with the term Orwellian, which describes a situation, idea, or societal condition identified as being destructive to the welfare of a free and open society.

The New York Times ranked Orwell second on a list of “The 50 greatest British writers of the 20th century and in 2016, his statue was installed in front of the BBC in London.
