Case Study: Microdosing to Cut Stress-Smoking and Caffeine

I๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซโ€™๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐จ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ?

Quitting smoking can be hard, but it is possible. In a recent Third Wave Lab Case Study, one individual, Jane, used psilocybin microdoses to reduce a habit of stress-induced smoking and coffee breaks.

Under the guidance of Third Waveโ€™s Microdose Experience, Jane began consuming 0.1-0.15 grams of psilocybin every third dayโ€”one day โ€˜onโ€™ and two days โ€˜off.โ€™

After two weeks, she switched to microdosing every second day. On microdose days, she noticed that her mood was much calmer. From this place of calm, she was better able to resist the urge to grab a cigarette.

The positive effects of microdosing extended into off days as well. On the โ€˜offโ€™ days immediately following a microdose, Jane noticed an increased activation of her senses.
