
Koha is one of the most commendable open-source software based on Integrated Library Systems (ILS). This software serves the entire community with robust technology: schools, colleges, universities, public libraries, etc. The name KOHA is derived from the Maori language means a gift or donation. Chris Cormack from New Zealand initiated the software in 1999-2000. Koha is a fully-featured, scalable library management system. Koha has been developed for libraries of various sizes, volunteers, and support companies worldwide. The software is converted into 26 different languages of several continents. The latest release took place on November 25, 2021, with a new version, 21.1.
