Inviting all Library Stakeholders To a Webinar Series on

“Libraries in Development”

African Libraries are drivers of development in the communities they serve, but not many international development organizations perceive them as potential partners.

AfLIA, in collaboration with the Technology & Social Change Group (TASCHA), is organizing a three-part webinar series focusing on how libraries that desire more partnerships with development organizations to increase their local impacts can gain more visibility and connect.

Registration ongoing for #WikiAfLibs Cohort 2

Cohort 2 of the Wikipedia in African Libraries Course (WikiAfLibs), fully sponsored by the Wikimedia Foundation, is scheduled to take off on Wednesday, 29th June, 2021.

The free course equips librarians, library staff, archivists, museum workers and others in the information sector with how to help their user communities tell their stories by themselves about themselves, thereby giving them a voice and reducing the misinformation and disinformation about Africa.

WikiAfLibs Cohort 1 was successful. Cohort 2 gives African Librarians another opportunity to build their digital skills while learning how to collaboratively work on Wikipedia and its sister projects.

Get involved and expand your knowledge horizon. Spread the news!!
