የአብዮቱን ፍንዳታ ከ40 ዓመት በኃላ ስናስታውስ ሁላችንም በአብዮቱ ሂደት ውስጥ ያየናቸውን ገጠመኞች ማስታወሳችን አይቀርም። በተለይም የ17 ዓመቱን የደርግ አገዛዝ የሁላችንም ትዝታ ነው። ከፊሎቻችን የተደሰትንበት፣ በተስፋ የፈነደቅንበት፣ ሌሎቻችን ደግሞ ያዘንበት፣ የተጎዳንበት፣ ወቅት ነበር። የዝብርቅርቅ ዘመን። በዚህ በደርግ ዘመን ውስጥ የብዙዎቻችን ሕይወት የለወጡ ክስተቶች ነበሩ። አንዳንዶቹ ገጠመኞች አስቂኞች ሊሆኑ ይችላሉ። ግን ደግሞ የሕብረተሰቡን የውስጥ ስሜትን የሚገልጹ ነበሩ። በእኔ አመለካከት እነዚህ በቀልድ፣ ወይም በተረት ወይም ደግሞ በአባባል የሚገለጹ ብሶቶች ናቸው የደርግን ዘመን በደንብ ቁልጭ አድርገው የሚያሳዩት። ታሪክን ሠሪው ሰፊዉ ሕዝብ ነውና ከእሱ በላይ ታሪክን ገላጭ አይኖርም።

በደርግ አገዛዝ ዘመን በተለይ በቀይ ሽብር ወቅት የጀርመን ሀገር የመኖሪያና የሥራ ፈቃድ የነበረው ዶክተር፣ ጀርመናዊት ሚስት የነበረዉ ዶክተር፣ ለሀገሬ ትንሽ ልስራ ብሎ፣ ሕይወቱን አደጋ ላይ ጥሎ፣ወደ ሀገሩ ተመልሶ ይሠራ ነበር ብለን ዛሬ ብንመሰክር ይህንን የማይታመን አፈ ታሪክ አቁሙ ልንባል እንችላለን። ግን ሆኗልና…
